Strobel Mattresses
The company which makes Strobel Mattresses is still today a family owned and run one which was formed over 50 years. Originally when the company started up it manufactured all types of goods. However around 25 years ago the son of the man who founded the company decided to start carrying out further research into the design of mattresses.
Initially Mark Strobel was more interested in waterbeds and he made a number of improvements to these. But his ultimate goal and the question that remained unanswered for him was how to build a better bed. Today this company has gone beyond producing high quality waterbeds and now offers its own patented Supple Pedic Strobel mattresses.

I have been the owner of one of the Strobel mattresses that is made from Supple-Pedic foam for over 18 months now and it really isn’t all that it is cracked up to be. Since purchasing it I have already had to replace the foam foundation with something a little firmer because the original one was sagging too much and as a result wasn’t offering me the support I was looking for.
The problem isn’t too bad when I’m sleeping on my own but as soon as my boyfriend who weighs just under 175lbs comes to stay then getting a good night’s sleep is out of the question. As soon as we lay down on it we end up rolling into the middle as this is where a sink hole seems to have developed. Okay these Strobel mattresses do offer far less pressure points in comparison to more traditional mattresses with inter springs but as it isn’t very comfortable to lay on that counts for nothing. I am now at my wits end and will be looking to replace it.

I have been the owner of one of the Strobel mattresses made from visco foam for more than 9 years now and we are more than happy with it. The Supple Pedic 4500 mattress that I purchased from a store where I live in Main is very comfortable and provides both myself and my wife plenty of support as we sleep at night. No longer are we waking up feeling tired as we are getting a great night’s sleep each and every night.
The reason we chose one of these Strobel mattresses over the better recognized brands was the cost. Our queen size mattress only cost us $1,400 where as a similar size one from Tempur-Pedic was double the price. If the time comes when I need to replace the mattress we have then of course I won’t hesitate to purchase yet another one of these.
